What it does

Everything a small business actually sends

The documents you have to produce, the money you are waiting on, and a straight answer about both — with a real set of books keeping itself underneath, which you only ever have to look at when somebody asks.

01

Invoices, quotes, credit notes

A quote becomes an invoice without retyping it. A credit note copies the original and points back at its number. Nothing is ever overwritten.

02

Your own payment link

Paste the link you already use. Billkeep prints it as a button and a QR code on the document, and opens it in the customer’s own browser.

03

Who hasn’t paid

What you are owed and how long it has been owed, banded by how late it is. On Android, Billkeep also writes the reminder for you — one that never accuses anybody of anything it cannot know.

04

Totals you can file

Tax charged by rate, what is left after it, and the ageing behind both. The figures come out of the journal, so they cannot disagree with the invoices.

05

Invoices that repeat

A monthly retainer sets itself up once. Billkeep makes the draft when it is due and leaves it for you — it never issues a document you have not seen.

06

Clients, kept simple

A client is a name. Everything else waits until you need it. Import a list from a spreadsheet, or see one client’s whole file on one screen.

07

Tax that fits your country

Build the rates you actually use — several on one line, compound, tax-inclusive prices, your own rounding. Nothing is hardcoded to one country’s rules.

08

Every device, in step

Signing in is all of it. Your records are copied to your own account, so the phone and the browser show the same books, seconds apart.

09

A backup you can read

One file with everything in it, in plain JSON, plus CSV for a spreadsheet. It restores on the phone and in the browser. Your records are never held hostage.

In practice

Four taps from nothing to a document you can send

The first invoice is the one that decides whether an app gets used twice. This one asks for a name, a line and an amount.

Say who it is for

A name is enough. Address, tax number and the rest wait until they matter.

Add what you did

What, how many, how much. Per-line discounts and tax are there, folded away until you ask.

Finish it

The number is allocated, the document is frozen, and what your customer sees stops changing.

Send it your way

Print, save a PDF, or share it straight into WhatsApp or mail. Billkeep never sends anything itself.

The line we don't cross

Billkeep never touches your money

There is no processor behind this app, no merchant account, no webhook and no percentage. It is a record-keeper. That single decision is why the payment link on your invoice is the one you already use, and why nothing sits between you and the person paying.

  • The link is yours — Stripe, PayPal, UPI, Wise, your bank details.
  • It opens in your customer's own browser, never inside the app.
  • Only https:// links are accepted, checked when saved and again before printing.
  • Payment is recorded by you, because Billkeep genuinely cannot see it happen.
  • No adverts, no analytics, no third-party pixels on the app at all.

Rates are held to a millionth of a percent, so 9.975% is exactly 9.975% and not the nearest basis point.

Tax

Built for wherever you actually trade

Billkeep ships no country's tax rules as truth. You build the rates you use, and the engine handles the awkward parts: several taxes on one line, a tax charged on a tax, prices that already include the tax, and the rounding rule your authority expects.

  • Amounts are whole minor units — pennies, cents, paise. No floating point ever touches money.
  • Per-line figures always add up to the invoice total, discounts included.
  • Each finished document keeps a frozen copy of its own breakdown.
Android

The same books, in your pocket

Sign in on both and they hold the same records, without being asked twice. The Android app adds the things a phone is better at — a camera for receipts, and dictating an invoice out loud.

Questions

The ones worth asking first

Does Billkeep take the payment?

No, and it cannot. There is no payment processor behind it. You put your own link on the invoice — Stripe, PayPal, UPI, a bank transfer — and your customer pays you directly. Billkeep only records that it happened, when you tell it.

Where do my records actually live?

In this browser, in a database only this site can read, and on your phone if you use the Android app. A copy is also kept in your own Billkeep account, which is what puts the same books on both. There are no adverts and no analytics of any kind.

What happens if I stop paying?

You keep every record you have made, and you can still read, print, export and back them up. A plan limits how many new invoices you write, never what you can open. That line does not move.

Can I use it on my phone and my computer?

Yes, and there is nothing to set up beyond signing in on both. Write an invoice on the phone and it is on the laptop within seconds. An issued invoice is frozen, so the two can never hold different versions of one, and nothing you delete comes back.

Does it work with my country's tax?

It works with the rates you enter. Several taxes on a line, compound tax, tax-included pricing and per-invoice or per-line rounding are all supported. Billkeep never claims to know your tax rules — it does the arithmetic and keeps the record.

Is my invoice numbering safe?

Numbers are allocated in order with no gaps, and a document that has spent a number can be cancelled but never deleted. Signed in, the number is claimed against your cloud copy, so two devices cannot both take the same one.
