Terms of use
Last updated 18 August 2026
These terms apply to the Billkeep Android app and to Billkeep on the web at this address, both provided by ApiSurge ("we", "us"). Installing or using Billkeep means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
1. What Billkeep is
Billkeep is a tool for creating and keeping business documents — invoices, quotes and credit notes — and for recording payments you tell it about.
Billkeep is not a payment provider, a bank, an accountant or a tax adviser. It does not process, hold, transfer or receive money, and it cannot see whether anyone has paid you. Payment links you add belong to your own provider, and your relationship with that provider is entirely between you and them. Nothing in the app or on this site is financial, tax or legal advice.
2. Your records are yours
Everything you put into Billkeep — your business details, clients, documents and figures — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it and we do not sell it. It is stored on your device, and additionally in Google Cloud Firestore only if you switch Cloud backup on. See the privacy policy.
Keeping your own copies is your responsibility. Phones are lost, broken and wiped. Billkeep gives you a backup file and a CSV export, free on every plan; use them.
3. Using it correctly is up to you
You are responsible for:
- the accuracy of what you put on a document, including amounts, tax rates and client details;
- meeting the invoicing, tax and record-keeping rules that apply where you trade;
- the payment links you add and where they send your customers;
- keeping your device and your account credentials secure.
Billkeep does the arithmetic exactly as you configure it. It does not know your jurisdiction's rules and never claims to.
4. What you may not do
- Use Billkeep for anything unlawful, or to invoice for anything unlawful.
- Attempt to impersonate another business on a document.
- Reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Interfere with the app's operation, or with the services it depends on.
5. Accounts
Accounts are provided through Firebase Authentication. You must give accurate details and keep your credentials to yourself. You may delete your account at any time — see Delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms.
6. Plans and payment
- Billkeep offers a free trial and paid subscription plans. What each plan includes is shown inside the Android app, where Google Play also shows the price in your own currency.
- Subscriptions are sold, billed and renewed by Google Play, in your own currency and at prices Google Play displays. We never see your payment details.
- Cancel or manage a subscription in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds follow Google Play's own policies and process. We cannot issue a refund for a payment we never received.
- We may change what a plan includes or what it costs. Changes apply from your next renewal, never retrospectively, and material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
- Your own records are never locked behind a plan: creating a backup file and exporting CSV work on every plan, including after a subscription ends.
7. Third-party services
Billkeep relies on services run by others — Google Play for distribution and billing, Firebase for sign-in and optional Cloud backup, and Google's AI service if you turn voice invoicing on. Their terms apply to their parts, and we are not responsible for their availability. The payment provider whose link you print on your invoice is not connected to us in any way.
8. Availability and changes to the app
We may update, change or discontinue features. Where a change would affect documents you have already made, we will say so in the app first. Documents you have already issued are frozen by design and are not altered by app updates.
9. No warranty
Billkeep is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that documents it produces satisfy any specific legal or tax requirement in your country. Check your obligations locally.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost or corrupted data, missed payments, tax penalties, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Billkeep. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for Billkeep in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use Billkeep as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
11. Ending these terms
You may stop using Billkeep at any time by uninstalling it and, if you wish, deleting your account. We may end your right to use the app if you break these terms materially. Sections 2, 9, 10 and 12 survive.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and nothing here removes a right you cannot waive.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Billkeep after that means you accept the revised terms.
