Free toolPayment link to QR code
Paste the payment link you already use and get a QR code to put on an invoice. It is read back through its own error correction before you get it, so a malformed symbol never reaches your paperwork.
Keep it dark on white. A pale code, or one printed smaller than about 2cm, is one a phone camera gives up on — and the customer blames the invoice, not the printer.
Reading it back…
- Take a payment, or see one happen
- Send your link anywhere — the code is drawn in this tab
- Shorten, wrap or redirect your link
Getting a link to put in it
Stripe
Dashboard → Payment links → New. Set the amount to the
invoice total and copy the buy.stripe.com address. One
link per invoice, since the amount is baked into it.
PayPal
A PayPal.me address works as-is and is the same on every invoice. PayPal can also add the amount to the end, which makes it per-invoice.
Wise, Revolut and similar
Most offer a payment or request link that is a plain
https:// address. If you can copy it, it works here.
UPI and bank transfer
Not links, so there is nothing to encode. Put the ID or the account details on the invoice as text instead — that is what somebody paying by transfer actually needs.
Why the link is checked
A payment link is the riskiest thing on a document: your customer taps
it because a person they trust sent it. So only https:// is
accepted, a bare domain is upgraded, and javascript:,
file: and data: are refused — the same check
the app runs, twice, before printing one.
Or let the invoice carry it for you
Billkeep prints your link as a button and a QR on every document, checks it again before it goes, and never takes a cut of what you are paid.
